In 1963, Wayne Webber and Earl Champagne founded a construction company in Detroit, Michigan, and appropriately named it Champagne-Webber, Inc.  Ten years later, the company began work in the Texas market and was awarded its first subcontract by a TxDOT prime contractor for a road construction project in Beaumont.  With the award of its first TxDOT prime contract in 1979, Champagne-Webber, Inc. expanded operations into the Houston area.  Champagne-Webber Inc., Texas, was formed in 1987 and began to operate as a sister company to Champagne-Webber Inc., whose work continued to focus on Michigan and surrounding states. In 2002 our name was changed to  W.W. Webber Inc. reflecting the retirement of Mr. Champagne who had retired in the early 1990's.  As the firm continued to successfully grow, we became a major competitor in the civil construction industry.  In 2005 a major international construction firm purchased  the company, and we became W. W. Webber, LLC.
